Nutrition on Family Vacation

Your approach to meal prepping for a day at an amusement park can be very important. Bringing your own food allows you to stay on track with your diet and avoid unhealthy temptations that are often present at amusement parks. It's also a smart way to save time by skipping food lines and, more importantly, save money since food prices at parks can be quite expensive. This will help you maintain your tailored monthly nutrition plan.

Many people might not be aware that they can bring their own food into amusement parks, so it's a great tip to those who might want to stick to their dietary preferences or save some cash. While this isn’t the perfect diet, it gets the job done, saves time by avoiding food lines and will save you money. You can see everything I brought into Universal Studios:

  • Chicken

  • Salad,

  • Almond butter with keto bread sandwiches

  • Cashews

  • Protein bars

  • Protein chips

  • Fruit

  • Zero sugar Gatorade mix.

Putting this into perspective, approximately $30 fed a family of 5 for the whole day at Universal. This was great cost savings considering each meal purchased at the park would be $15-$20 per person.

Regarding fitness while traveling, bringing TRX bands and resistance bands is a fantastic idea. TRX and resistance bands are portable and versatile tools that can provide a full-body workout even in limited spaces like hotel rooms or Airbnb accommodations. It's an excellent way to stay active and maintain your fitness routine even when you're away from home.

Finally, taking the stairs whenever possible is a simple yet effective way to incorporate some extra physical activity into your day. It's a small change that can add up and contribute to your overall well-being.

Staying healthy and being cost-effective for a day at an amusement park and staying active while traveling are practical and beneficial. It's great to be mindful of both your family's health and budget during your outings and trips.

Great advice. Bringing healthy snacks with me to my office has kept me from cheating on my diet numerous times.
